Our primary goal as a PTA is to connect you, the parents, students, and community members, with Mt Pilchuck Elementary School with the goal of making it the very best school possible.


Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month (Sept- June) from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Mt Pilchuck library.

The school closure has made yearbook a tricky proposition!
But never fear, we are on it.

It will be somewhat shorter than usual, and we are not sure when they will be delivered, but we will be publishing a yearbook for the 2019-20 school year.

Joining this list doesn't commit you to anything, you'll just get periodic emails letting you know what the PTA is up to and where we are in need of volunteers.

All school district volunteers need to go through the LSSD background check process (applications available here,
but will not be processed until the district office reopens).

We use Signup Genius to track volunteers.
There are no available signups right now.


Our annual expenses run between $20,000 and $30,000.

Roughly 95% of those funds go directly to fund art, science, drama, music, STP, and all manner of other fun at Mt Pilchuck.

In order to continue our current level of support for Mt Pilchuck, we do a variety of fundraisers throughout the year.

Frequently asked questions about yearbook

How much does the yearbook cost?Yearbooks are $10.
Home delivery is available as an add-on for an additional $7.
How do I order? Ordering will be a two-step process.
1. Fill out and submit this form
2. Purchase your book directly from the publisher OR
      Mail a check to:

When will I get my yearbook? Unfortunately, we can't say for sure. Right now the publisher is projecting mid-July, but at this time they are not able to commit to a specific printing or delivery date.
If you pay for the home delivery option, obviously you will get your book as soon as it is printed and shipped. If your book comes to us and it arrives before school is back in session, we will contact you by email and arrange for a time for you to pick it up somewhere local.
How will I get my yearbook? Can I get it mailed to my home? Direct shipping is available from the publisher for $7 per book.
Be sure you've indicated on your order form that you would like to purchase this option.
If you're sending us a check, be sure you've paid the correct amount.
If you're purchasing online, be sure you choose the "Yearbook + Shipping To Home" option on the first page.
When does the sale begin? Yearbooks go on sale May 15th.
When does the sale end? We will be selling yearbooks until June 4th.
What if I missed the deadline? My kid really wants a book. If there are any printing overruns, the publisher sends them to us.
We will make those available on a first-come, first-served basis once we know how many (if any) there are.
What about yearbook signing? Stay tuned. We are working on a way to facilitate some sort of virtual yearbook signing.
What are you even going to put in the yearbook? We've had to be a little creative on this one!
1. The book will be a bit shorter than what we usually publish.
2. We still have lots of content -- student and staff portraits, fall and mid-year events.
3. We're including pages of pictures of what "school" looks like now!
Ooh, I have pictures, can you use those? Yes!
Well, probably. If they are pictures of your kid at school or a school event, definitely. If there are other students in the pictures, we'll need those students' names to verify that we have permission from their parents.
Ordinarily we request only pictures of students at school or school events, but this year, since school IS home, we want your pictures of what school looks like while we are learning remotely. That means if you're growing a garden or learning the nose flute or reading to pets, we want pictures of it all!
Of course we can't use every picture we get, but many of our images come from parents and without those submissions, we wouldn't have enough material to put a book together.
How can I get you my pictures? Email is the easiest way.
Email your images to us at yearbook@MtPilchuckPTA.org. Please don't forget to include the names of the students in the pictures, their grades, and which class they are in.
When do you need the pictures? The sooner the better.
The sooner we know how many and what images we have, the sooner we can plan the pages and start building them. It takes quite a bit of time to put a yearbook together, and the earlier we can start, the better off we are.
Whose art is going to be on the cover? Results of our Cover Art Contest in January showed an overwhelming winner.
Ordinarily, we save the cover as a surprise for when the books come, but since students won't be together when that happens, we want to publicly acknowledge our winner.
We'll be announcing the winner on our Facebook page at the start of the sale, so be sure to stop by and congratulation the talented winner!


Please know that we do not expect every family to participate in every fundraiser!
Our hope is that every student will be able to do something to support our work.
We think providing a variety of options is the best way to do that.

Students sell items from catalog to family and friends and we get a portion of the profits.
Apex Fun Run
Students will spend two weeks experiencing a fabulous leadership program. The culmination of the two weeks is a fundraising run.
